About Me

Education: I have a B.S.+ 30 K-8 teaching certification and a B.A. in both English/Literature and Mass Communications.  I will finish a Master's Degree in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction this December. This will be my ninth year of teaching and my seventh year teaching kindergarten.

Hobbies: I love teaching kindergarten. I also love to LEARN. Teaching is my job, but it also overlaps as a hobby! I spend a lot of time reading about new teaching methods and searching for ways to make my instruction more meaningful and exciting for my students. I also enjoy working on this website for students, parents, and other kindergarten teachers. I am also a big mystery novel fan, hence my email address mysterybuff@charter.net  In addition to mysteries in general, I also enjoy some of the works of Margaret Atwood, Flannery O'Connor, Truman Capote, and Robert Frost.

My Goal: My goal for this year is for your child to have a successful and happy kindergarten experience. I want him or her to learn the skills needed to progress to first grade and MORE. We will work together to make that happen!
